I Love My Coach House Garage Because...

The flexibility offered in it's design compliments our existing home. In addition, quality materials were used throughout and it was completed within the specified time.
As a bit of history, our English Tudor home in Fort Wayne was built in 1931 and Southwood Park (our subdivision) is on the National Historic Register. Since the home was built of brick and stucco, there is minimal deterioration, however, our garage built at the same time was wood frame and was showing seventy years of wear and tear. As a result, a number of friends and I demolished it on Good Friday of 2003.
Previously, we lived in Goshen, IN and regularly attended the Elkhart County Fair where Coach House Garages exhibited each year. We recalled those memories when we needed to have our garage replaced in Fort Wayne and made contact with the local Coach House Garages representative. This knowledgeable gentleman (John Stallsmith) was thorough in answering our many questions and we were pleased with the professionalism of your firm conveyed by him.
So, after a detailed Building Contract was prepared by John and signed by us in January of 2003, it was agreed that Coach House Garages would start construction of our new 24' X 22' two car garage after the spring thaw. A few days after the concrete foundation was poured and cured, the crew arrived on the exact date specified around 7:30 am with all materials aboard their truck/trailer. I headed off to my office already feeling content with our decision to build a Coach House Garage. Coming home at Noon to check on the CHG's team progress, I was amazed to find them on the roof and ready to apply the shingles!
With the options offered on Coach House Garages, such as the gable, 6/12 roof pitch and the protrusion above the drive-in door, we knew the end product would nicely coordinate with the architecture of our home. This was further enhanced by John suggesting "stucco" type panels ove the double door and cedar stained trim to blend with the English Tudor style. Carriage type lamps purchased locally for each side of the drive-in door gabe the garage a ginished touch as evidenced by the enclosed photos.
Needless to say, after seven short years, we are exceptionally pleased with our Coach House Garage. From the quality 2x4 studs to the pre-built trusses to the traditional CHG weathervane, thanks for a job well done!
Sincerely,
Dave von Gunten
