Wait No More

Our need for a Coach House Garage goes back to 1962 when Sandy's Dad bought a 1940 Packard. It developed a gas leak and was pushed into a farm shed, where it waited 33 years for a loving resoration by Sandy and husband Dick Perry. A hastily constructed farm shed was its home until joined by a 1925 Dodge Brothers Coupe. This cute little car had waited 75 years to get an engine overhaul and interior redo. After Sandy's parents passed away in 2008, we purchased Dad's 1963 Studebaker GT Hawk, which had been waiting 45 years for a restoration. Getting out to the farm shed was a real challenge as we encountered mud, snow, frozen gates, cows, manure, mice, farm equipment and farm trucks often blocking our route. We never seemed to bring the right tools or car parts along so the car work often had to wait for another day.

The answer was to build a garage in town for our antique cars! After waiting for 25 years, a neighbor finally agreed to sell his rundown home and land to us. Hurrah! In the fall of 2009 we demolished the house and old garage and waited until February when we met Randy Rogers at the Quad City Home Show where we learned about Coach House Garages.

We signed a contract and then waited until spring for a build date. Randy arranged for the cement contractor who had to wait for a dry spell to pour the garage floor. Then we waited thru 3 rain dates for the Coach House build team to arrive. Even thought the weather was drizzling by afternoon, the crew persevered and got the entire structure done in one day. Amazing!! No more WAITING!!

Now it is all done and our three cars can be together in a beautiful garage next to our home. Thank you, Randy, for your attention to detail and for convincing us to go with Coach House Garages.

We are very pleased and highly recommend your company to everyone!
