A Very Lovely Addition
I Love My Coach House Garage
To begin with I must tell you why my husband and I decided to build a new garage.
After living in Texas for 8 years and going through 2 hurricanes we talked about moving back to Illinois (our original home state).
After the last hurricane (Ike) left about 18 - 25" of water, 2 fish and 2 alligators and the very nasty smelling salt water, along with mold and losing all of our belongings we decided to move back to Illinois.
After staying in Tennessee and Illinois for several months with both of our sons we were invited by our youngest son to put a house on his ground. He has 5 acres at the North edge of Mt. Vernon, Illinois. We put in a modular home and packed what belongings we could salvage and moved here.
At age 61 it was not easy to “start from scratch” again.
On November 28th 2008 we finally got the house set and moved in.
Now for the Garage
Several years ago my brother-in-law had a Coach House Garage built in Robinson, Illinois so we were aware of the qulity of these garages. My husband had always wanted a Coach House Garage but we never seemed to have the funds and the place to put one.
Thanks to a very good insurance settlement we were finally in the market for a “good” garage.
Knowing of the Amish reputation of building quality structures we chose a 30' X 40' building. The dealer we worked with, Darrell Sheridan was very helpful and spent considerable time hekping us decide on just how we wanted this garage built. We bought the garage and paid cash for it.
As the weather cooperated in the spring of 2009 the concrete folks came in leveled the ground and poured the pad. This crew did not stop until the entire floor and raised curbing was completed. They even took a quart jar of water and a paint brush and smoothed up all the edges of the curbing. This crew was VERY particular as to how the curb looked and how smooth they could get it for the walls to set on.
A few weeks later the construction crew came in with the garage components on their truck and trailer AND in about 5 hours my husband and I had a very nice garage.
These men were very proficient in their work and very conscientious as they took a spray bottle and wiped down all of the siding, soffits, doors and trim.
This garage made a very lovely addition to our new home. They even had the same colored siding and roofing as on our home.
We are VERY pleased with our garage and we will recommend Coach House to any one that asks about ours. If we are ever in need of more storage we will definitely look to Coach House.
Sincerely,
Deanna Bachelor
